Posted by felkerfm, on Oct. 17, 2009 01:13PM I have never in my life read an article in poorer format or taste. It is inappropriate and rude. No article of any kind should have been published this soon after Dr. Grimes’ death; it is incredibly insensitive to his family, colleagues and those to whom he was a mentor. I am a student of the Anthropology department and I see the grief that so many people are going through right now- this article is something that they should never have to see. There is no reason that Dr. Grimes’ death should have been “reported” in such gruesome detail. He was a knowledgeable man of science and a friend to everyone; to have his last explicit and tragic moments made known to the whole campus community is an insult to his memory. I expect an official apology from the authors of this article and editor of Western Front, nothing less.
